Minneapolis, MN, December 23, 2019 –

Radio Bridge Inc, a leading supplier of wireless sensors in the Internet of Things industry, announces its collaboration partnership with MaxBotix Inc., a leading supplier of ultrasonic ranging sensors.

Radio Bridge has created a custom wireless bridge that enables MaxBotix customers to seamlessly add their ultrasonic sensors to LoRaWAN® networks. The new product is a true “radio bridge” that plugs directly into any HR series MaxBotix ultrasonic sensor. When purchasing the MaxBotix sensors compatible with the radio bridge, customers simply need to specify a custom part number for the adapter cable.

The new bridge product can be found here:

“The wireless bridges developed by Radio Bridge transmit over very long distances and consume very little power, resulting in long battery life. In other words, you set it and forget it,” said Steve Kilts, CEO of Radio Bridge. “We have worked with MaxBotix on many customer engagements and have identified them as the best solution in terms of quality and customer service. The move to create a custom device specific to MaxBotix ultrasonic sensors makes it easy for those, even without a technical background, to adopt the solutions our new partner provides.”

The bridge is based on Radio Bridge’s new line of outdoor and industrial-grade sensors, also known as The Armored Sensor line, which includes capabilities for a variety of industrial sensing applications in addition to ultrasonic ranging. The Armored Sensor line is IP67 rated (Some models IP68), meaning sensors may be deployed outdoors or into harsh industrial environments.

“We have taken notice of the use of our sensors in various IoT applications. We’ve been working towards forming partnerships with important providers delivering high-quality solutions. Working with Radio Bridge allows us to have an end solution to refer our customers to that we trust. ” – Scott Wielenberg, Sales Executive, MaxBotix Inc.
